Tors.in: Privacy and Simplicity in One Application : P2P ON!
The way we share files between each other through BitTorrent's networks just got fancier. Many of us still make use of public indexing websites, such as ThePirateBay, Kat.ph and so forth, but the problem with these networks is that anyone can see what you're uploading as not many of them support private uploads. So the need for a simple "drop and share" service is obvious and this is where Tors.in comes into play.
The service's main feature is the URL shortener and it works like this:
"Tors.in is a place to simply upload your torrent file (.torrent), and get a nice short url in return. No fuss, No hassle," says their main webpage.

What goes behind the process is not a mystery. Once someone uploaded a torrent by using Tors.in the website sends it to Torrage, offering the uploader a short URL. Moreover, you can even use a customized URL (egg. Tors.in/payitforward).
Woodrow Freeman, the man behind the project, told TorrentFreak that he had the idea while searching for a simple site to dump and share his torrents.
"I was making torrent mirrors of important YouTube videos related to SOPA. I wanted to share these on Reddit but I noticed that there was no place to just dump a torrent and call it a day."

In his quest of finding a hosting service, Mr. Freeman discovered Torrage.org, a largely used service by many torrent sites. However, there is a drawback when using Torrage – that of getting long URLs since they are based on the torrent's hash.
"To fix this problem I decided to create a simple service that allows users to upload files to Torrage, and add a URL shortener to make the links easier to share," Freeman explains.
As soon as he released Tors.in, people started using it.
