In a career that spans three decades and a discography that includes more than a dozen eclectic and innovative recordings, six-time GRAMMY nominee Mike Stern has established himself as one of the premier jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists and composers of his generation. Born in Boston in January 1953, Stern grew up in Washington, DC, then returned to Boston to study at the Berklee College of Music. After college, he got his start as a guitar player with Blood, Sweat & Tears at age 22. Following a brief stint with Billy Cobhams powerhouse fusion band from 1979 to 1980, he moved to New York City, where he was recruited by Miles Davis to play a key role in Miles celebrated comeback band of 1981 (which also included bassist Marcus Miller, drummer Al Foster, percussionist Mino Cinelu and saxophonist Bill Evans). During his three-year period with Miles, Stern appeared on three recordings with the jazz maestro Man with the Horn, Star People and the live We Want Miles. He toured with Jaco Pastorius Word of Mouth Band from 1983 through 1985 and returned to Miles lineup for a second tour of duty that lasted close to a year. In 1985, Stern recorded Neesh, his first recording as a leader, for the Japan-based Trio label.

MyDoggyTweets.com - My Doggy Tweets

Quitting smoking is one of the easiest or the hardest things that a person can do. For some who are not obsessed with smoking, quitting can be a cinch. For other, quitting can be like driving on a highway to misery and depression that smoking seems to be the only thing that keeps them alive and kicking.

This is why nowadays, there are a lot of people who are using electronic cigarette starter kits to get their daily dose of smokes without causing a long-term problem with their health and well-being. An electronic cigarette kit is a small device set that you can assemble and would somehow resemble a cigarette. It has all of the physical attributes of a cigarette, without the health risks that you can get from a conventional smoke.

Only a golfer is capable of understanding the game of golf in every sense. If the statement were to be true then it can also not be ignored that mere golf lovers or casual golf players do not get the essence of the game. Most golf players are busy training and practicing the game to reach perfection. But, you a golf fan or casual player have the liberty to delve into many nooks and corners of the world of golf that a serious player does not have the time to explore.

You have the liberty to discover a lot of material on the game and brush up the theoretical part of the game before holding a golf club. You can go to stores at leisure and get the right type of equipment for your game. You do not have the restrains that a professional golf player might face.

]]>

You can go online and experiment with new things and leisurely spend weekends without worrying about winning the next match against another golf champion. You have the freedom to sit and relax. The pressure that a golf player faces before going to the various golf courses for the matches around the world is not felt by an amateur and casual player like you. You can go for tours, whereby you not only enjoy a comfortable stay but also a wonderful game of golf along with the stay.

Most of all while, the serious golfers have to be on a strict regime and follow strict instructions and plan everything, you have no such obligation to follow any such strict regime or anything, for that matter, for the game. A casual player usually chooses to play the game as and when he/she likes without having the compulsion of a match. The main reason is that the game is just a hobby for such people.

But for a golfer and a serious one at that takes the game as a profession and so has to attend to it just as any other lawyer, doctor, or clerk religiously attends to his/her work. It is understood that when a professional golf player holds a golf club, he/she holds it to make a definite shot that will help him win.
